From 1988 to 1994, Gary was the Property Manager of Cranberry Village, a Resort that in 1988 contained 14 Condominium Corporations. I am a proud member of the CCI (Canadian Condominium Institute). Since that time there had been 9 additional Corporations registered, and my responsibilities included every aspect of property management from tendering the original engineering technical audit upon registering of the Condominium, to collection of common expense fees and dealing with the ongoing 3 P’s of Condominiums, People, Pets and Parking. I incorporated Shore to Slope in 1991 and had my first client contract in early 1993.
Jeff Struewing is our Vice President of Operations. He was hired at Shore to Slope in 2002 and has been instrumental in keeping our communications and computer technology up to date and well maintained. Jeff has received his AFO certification and has developed and manages our growing Maintenance Department, Recreation Department and has established and takes care of our Commercial Property Management clients including the Blue Mountain Village and the Cranberry Mews Plaza in addition to part of our residential portfolio. Jeff has resided in the Collingwood area since 1990. He has been highly involved in growing and maintaining our client base. Jeff is an active member of ACMO (Association of Condominium Managers of Ontario) and CCI (Canadian Condominium Institute) and is often attending seminars, conferences and continuing education sessions. It was Jeff’s relentless persistence, dedication and effort to envision, design and construct our new office location at the Cranberry Mews Plaza providing our staff with much needed space and a modern work environment while providing better access and service to our clients. Jeff’s increasing knowledge in building materials and construction help with day to day maintenance at our properties, large scale renovation projects and clear understanding and input with reserve fund studies. This knowledge is very helpful when dealing with contractors and we have a great repport and have built some great relationships with many in the area. Jeff has successfully taken on the role of Project Manager for several large renovations ranging from thousands of dollars to millions of dollars making sure work is completed as contracted and on budget. This experience has given Jeff the confidence and knowledge to become the Designer, General Contractor and Project Manager in the construction of his new house from ground up and gaining additional knowledge of building materials, good building practice, energy efficiency, scheduling and construction budgeting. Jeff is also an active member on several committees including, Blue Mountain Resort Security Steering Committee, participation with the Blue Mountain Village Association, Rental Advisory Board and Blue Mountain/Village Emergency Plan Sub-Committee. In his spare time, Jeff’s interests include home improvement projects and keeping up with technology while balancing family life.
Jacinta is our Office Manager, and has resided in Collingwood for 45 years. She has been in the property management/resort business since 1992. Jacinta has education in Accounting and graduated with honours as a Legal Secretary. Jacinta was employed part-time with Re/Max as Office Administrator during her College years and met Gary originally at Cranberry Resort where she held many positions over a 10 year period from ‘Accounting Clerk’ to ‘Administrative Assistant to the General Manager’. Jacinta came on board in September 2004 after 2 years at Georgian Manor Resort in Member Services.
Andrea was hired in 2012 as our Client Services Administrator and has proven her value. Andrea works closely with Jeff and assists in the planning and organizing our maintenance staff, outside contractors and assisting home owners with concerns they may have. Andrea and her family have returned to Collingwood after 15 years in North Bay. She and her husband owned their own Landscape Management Company and closed it down to return home to be closer to family and friends. Andrea has extensive customer care experience having worked in customer service related fields for over 20 years and has been eager to expand her knowledge of condominium management.
Mike is the newest addition to the team at Shore to Slope, he joins us as a Client Service Administrator who will work alongside Andrea Wilson. During the short time Andrea and Mike have worked together, Shore to Slope has embraced an increase in efficiency within the Maintenance Department, as well as the ability to deliver a more attentive response time to pressing issues faced on a daily basis. Mike was born and raised in Collingwood and throughout his years has developed a passion for the Collingwood area and what it has to offer. During his youth he has held various positions within Shore to Slope and as a young adult he left Collingwood to pursue an education in Business Administration at George Brown College. After graduating with an Advanced Business Diploma at George Brown and spending the better part of his twenties managing restaurants in Toronto, Mike returned to Collingwood in October 2014 and was welcomed back to Shore to Slope.
Susan has resided in Collingwood for more than 35 years. She graduated from the University of Waterloo in 1990, where she specialized in accounting and economics. Susan continued her education after university and successfully earned the Certified Financial Planners (CFP) designation and completed the Canadian Mutual Fund and Canadian Securities courses. Sue has been awarded the Certified 3 General Accountant (CGA) and Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designations. Susan was hired June 2005 and oversees our accounting department.
Kelly came on board with Shore to Slope in our Accounting Department in 2008 and is a valued employee and team player. She has 21 years professional office experience with upgrading courses in computers from the Adult Learning Centre. She has resided in Collingwood for 41 years and has extensive knowledge of the area.
Jessica is our Accounts Payable Clerk and works closely with Sue in our Accounting Department. Jessica has successfully completed many accounting, finance and business courses and has plenty of experience with accounting and finance. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family, reading, recreation and church involvement.
Carol is our Receptionist and quite often the friendly voice that greets callers and visitors to our offices. Carol brings great administrative background, bookkeeping and customer service skills and is a valuable member of our team.
Ivan Ouellette was hired in 2013 as our Client Service Field Representative to provide our clients with increased property inspections and follow up. These weekly inspections quickly generate reports back to the office for maintenance issues, owner/tenant infractions, contractor performance and safety issues so that they can be responded to quickly and efficiently.
Tom has resided in Nottawa for about 21 years before moving to Collingwood. Tom has come to us with over 11 years experience at Blue Mountain Resort in Engineering Department. Previous to that Tom was a builder and carpenter. Tom is well experienced with too many skills to list. As one of our Full-Time Maintenance Technicians, Tom also works very closely with Jeff and our Client Services Administrators.
Chris is a recent addition to our Maintenance Department. Chris is a dedicated and hardworking individual with a variety of skills to make repairs, additions and provide a pleasant and timely response to our clients repair needs. Chris is well experienced with plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, decks, fences, siding and everything to do with landscaping.
